Mrs. Julia Hibbs, of Mellott, daughter of Press Swank, of this place, died at Mellott on March 1 of that dread disease consumption. The funeral took place Wednesday at Center Church, of which she was a member, the services being conducted by Rev. Trotter, of Darlington. The remains were laid to rest in the Oakland Cemetery.

Deceased leaves a father, one sister, three brothers, a husband and two small children and many friends to mourn her loss.
Mourn not for we know that thou art gone to dwell with our dear Lord and what is your loss is her gain. May she rest in peace and may her pure white soul forever dwell with the good angel who took her by the hand and wandered away in the bowers of eternal summer. -s
